What is Zeq Mail?

Zeq Mail is a zero-knowledge encrypted email service built on the Zeq identity system. Every message is encrypted with HITE (AES-256-GCM + KO42 entropy) and authenticated with TESC temporal PLATs before storage. The server never sees plaintext.

Messages are delivered internally between Zeq identities or externally via SMTP with full DKIM, SPF, and DMARC authentication. Inbound mail from Gmail and other providers is received, encrypted, and stored. Outbound mail is sent with cryptographic signing from zeq.dev.

The optional ZSP Shield wraps message bodies through the full Zeq Security Protocol pipeline — adding compression, malware scanning, and temporal authentication on top of HITE encryption.

HITE Encryption
AES-256-GCM with KO42 entropy and PBKDF2 key derivation. Every message body and subject is encrypted separately with domain separation.
TESC Authentication
Temporal-locked PLATs (Proof of Legitimate Access Tokens) authenticate every message with Zeqond timestamps and phase verification.
HF Content Scanner
Every outbound message passes through the HF harm-filter — scanning for malicious patterns using PSI96 waveform analysis and S3/S19 rules.
